Filming day five.
We had a gap in the chorus of our music video in which we needed to fill in. So, we filmed a band performance in order to add more locations in our music video. This was very successful in terms of camera shots and camera movements. Unfortunately, when we uploaded it for editing, we found that it did not match up with the rest of the music video in terms of music and the other scenes.

Filming day four.
Today, we have realised that there is not a huge amount of time to film left and therefore we thought that with the availability of cat and crew, we would do some test shots in order to see what works and what doesn't. We did not get everything filmed, but we do know what to do exactly for when we next film, thus allowing us more time to film rather than work out what to do.

Meeting Eight.
- With the amount of time left, we have decided to film and edit as much as possible in a period of a couple of days and this will leave us plenty of time to edit and to re-film if needed. This way we will be able to make the music video at it's best quality.
- To start with, we will film the office scenes with the main singer to add more locations to the music video. After this all we need to film is the band performance, which should take no more than a day.

Website creation for the band.

For the promotion of our band we have to make a website. I decided to stick to the 'boyband' image except give them more of an urban/rock look rather than a 'cheesy pop' image.
By doing this, the background of a concert gives it a 'party' theme instead of using bold and plain backgrounds. I also used a more grown-up font rather than a funky looking font. This way I can attract the best audiences for the band and also audiences who are most likely to listen to the band's music.
I have included pages that I have found in my website research. This included information about the artist, tour dates and merchandise. This has helped me in doing the layout for my website. I have made a few changes such as layout of the 'about name' and the name of the band itself.

I have made quite a few changes to the website in order to get the best audience group and keep the fans satisfied and up to date with what the band is up to. The images used also stick to the 'urban' image of the band which includes graffiti and concerts.
To make the band seem popular, I have added a news feed for twitter and added more tour dates to increase the popular demand of tickets.

Social networking.
In order for us to promote our artist effectively, we would have to create a Twitter and Facebook page, this way we can promote the artist through viral marketing. By means the artist will be noticed more as people will talk about the artist by means it is successful in being promoted. This will also be a good benefit for the website which will have links to the Facebook and Twitter pages. This way fans can keep up to date with what the artist is up to and can share it socially with other people.

Album advertisement analysis.
This is an album advertisement for Kings of Leon and their album Only By The Night. The advert gives an overall impression of the band which is a rock/alternative image. Unlike most boy-bands, who use bright colours, this band have gone for a more moody and dark image rather than a bright and cheesy image. This is also to reflect on the sound of their music and the kind of impression that they want to portray to audiences.
The advert, has the album cover on as the main and only image to make it recognisable to audiences who will remember the poster and album cover, thus buying their album. It also has an artistic vibe to it which is part of each member in each quarter of the image, this is blended in with an image of a Bald Eagle. This could represent the band all together or it could reflect upon the lyrics in some of their songs.
All around the main image of the advertisement are essential information about the album such as the name and artist. The font is like a typewriter and this gives us an impression that the target audience is more young adults and above rather than young children. It shows hit singles that the audience will recognise and therefore will buy the album. The 'out now' is in red as an alert and something that will catch the audiences eye and so will buy the album.

Editing phase two.
- When editing the footage for the main singer of the band The Ordinary Boys, we found that we got a good variety of shots and locations. Because of this, we found it easy to edit as it was very well paced with the song.
- Despite this, we found that there were too many similar locations and looked too 'green' for the song. To work our way round this, we have decided to film the main singer on contrasting locations to make the video more entertaining to watch.
- We also decided to experiment with the hue and the contrast of the footage to get different effects. We wanted to do this to make the music video more fun to watch.

Filming Day Three.
As discussed in our meeting, we thought that re-filming the female lead would be best in order to improve the music video. The filming was successful as it was sunny, despite the cold weather plus we got enough filmed in the short time given. When putting it on FinalCut for editing, we found that both performers matched up more than before making the video look stronger.
Meeting Six.
- After seeing our music video so far, we realised that something was missing which was the narrative and that there was too much performance. Particularly with the locations also being in the same place making it look as though it drags on. Due to this, it made our music video weaker and having lots of gaps which did not make the music video as entertaining as it should be.
- We also found that the main singer was in the same location for too long, to solve this problem, we decided that we should locate him in an office to not only change locations but to give the video a narrative and link back to the lyrics.
- We also found that the footage for Lady Sovereign did not match up to the main singer performance wise. Because of this, we decided to re-film the female lead but with someone different in order to get the best footage that matches up with the performance of the main singer.

Record Label.
To our track 'Nine2Five' the record label that we have chosen is a UK based company called Polydor Records which is owned by Universal Music Group. Universal Music Group is one of the three Major labels, the other two being Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group. Polydor was founded in Germany after the first world war. In 1946, Polydor became a popular music label and since then it has tried to keep afloat with new artists, signings and singles. In 1998, PolyGram was purchased by Seagram and absorbed into its Universal Music Group. Polydor also has another branch since 1994 called Polydor's Nashville, Tennessee division which specialises on country music.
In the early 1970's, the label had large incomes form successful UK bands such as Slade, The Who and The Jam. Since then it has remained one of the strongest labels in the country with artists such as Take That, Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, Lawson and an Indie roster through the imprint with acts like Kate Nash and Snow Patrol. It is also the UK label for American-based acts under Interscope-Geffen-A&M such as Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls, Snoop Dog, Gwen Stefani, 50 Cent, Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga.
